Greetings from the Jersey Shore! The American Fisheries Society, President Steve McMullin and the Mid-Atlantic Chapter are excited to host the 148th AFS Annual Meeting at the Atlantic City Convention Center from August 19 – 23, 2018. Atlantic City will be a fantastic location for this year’s conference, with plenty to see and do.  From beaches and boardwalks, to fishing and amusement parks, Atlantic City has something for everyone.  We hope that this year’s theme, “Communicating the Science of Fisheries Conservation to Diverse Audiences” will stimulate a wide range of sessions encompassing the extensive diversity of fisheries, professionals, disciplines and issues represented within the society.  We have a wide range of symposia topics, and will solicit contributed papers and posters encompassing the broad diversity within fisheries that will benefit a range of audiences with the aim of advancing the science of fisheries ecology, conservation, and management.
