Join us at the Atlantic City Convention Center for the 148th Annual Meeting of AFS. The Annual Meeting will offer exhibitors the opportunity to reconnect with clients and colleagues, network, and showcase their products and services. Bring your expertise to Atlantic City!

Located on the southeastern New Jersey coast, Atlantic City is a glorious place to host the 148th Annual Meeting of the American Fisheries Society (AFS). Atlantic City overlooks the Atlantic Ocean to the east and Absecon estuary to the west, known for its wide beaches and iconic boardwalk; the nearby wildlife refuge system is an environmental paradise.

Conference attendees from all over the world will have the opportunity to network with a diverse group of resource professionals in this city full of great food, entertainment, and outdoor adventure opportunities. Your exhibit at this major industry event will be seen by an expected attendance of over 2,000 fisheries and aquaculture scientists; federal, tribal, state, and local administrators, directors, and elected officials; educators; consultants; and marine and freshwater fishing industries.

Meeting sessions, events, and the trade show will take place at the Atlantic City Convention Center (meetac.com). The trade show will be  located  in  close proximity  to  all conference  activities  located at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The Trade Show Networking Event, a mixer on the first evening of the Trade Show, provides an ideal opportunity for casual introductions and informal networking.

Two complimentary conference registrations are included for booths rented at the member and nonmember rates. This will allow your personnel to attend all conference sessions and functions, interact with attendees outside the Exhibit Hall, and gain information on industry issues. Trade show exhibitors will include federal and state fisheries agencies, sellers of photos, arts, and crafts, and companies providing boats, aquaculture supplies, fish tagging and tracking equipment, computer and software applications, consultant services, digital fish-measuring equipment, water quality monitoring and filtration systems, aeration systems, hydroacoustic systems, and others related to fisheries research and management.

This dynamic event will attract fisheries professionals from around the world!

About the Atlantic City Convention Center

The Convention Center, designed to incorporate and reflect Atlantic City’s seaside location and constructed in 1997, won the prestigious “Award of Excellence in Architectural Design” from the Pennsylvania Society of Architects. Regional decor is evident throughout the building, from the wave-inspired carpeting and granite flooring to the atrium’s Rock Bar, an attractive setting for any event planner. Visitors entering the building are welcomed by a 90-foot high skylit atrium lobby complete with a lobby concierge, sculptures and art. Artist Jonathan Borofsky created the five flying fish sculptures suspended above the atrium floor. Twenty-seven cast stone sculptures, created by Thomas Van Dyke of Prospect Park and cast by American Trim Stone of Haskell, are inset into the atrium walls and represent local sea life such as starfish, crabs, and seahorses. The fourth floor showcases artist William Wegman’s photographic exhibit entitled Six Scenic Scenes that depicts his famous weimaraners in costume and participating in activities found throughout New Jersey.
