If arriving after registration closes on Sunday, how do I gain access to the opening network event?
Simply show your barcode or email confirmation at the entrance of the social to gain admission.
Continuing Education
Can Continuing Education be bought separately from the actual AFS meeting?
Yes, you can purchase CE courses without registering for the actual meeting. Please contact Lauren Maza at AFS HQ if you have any questions on registering for the CE courses lmaza@fisheries.org.
Spawning Run/Carcass Crawl & Splash and Dash
Are these events weather dependent?
They are all rain or shine but the Splash and Dash could be cancelled due to rough seas.
Local Transportation
What is the cost of the local Jitneys running between the Convention Center and Bally’s Valet and the Sunday-Wednesday networking Events?
Free!
Accommodations
Why would I select one hotel over another?
The Sheraton is directly connected to the Convention Center so it is the most convenient. However, Bally’s and the Claridge are closer to the Boardwalk. Claridge is also the least expensive hotel, while Bally’s has the most to offer within the hotel.
Parking
Are discounted parking rates available for the hotels and the Convention Center? (Any updates to parking rate information will be posted on the page upon availability.)
Sheraton – Yes, there is a $10 daily rate for all booked under the meeting block.
Convention Center – No discounted parking rates are available.
Claridge – Yes, there is a $10 daily rate for all booked under the meeting block.
Bally’s – Yes, one night is free and each additional night is $5. The daily rate for valet is $10. These rates apply for all booked under the meeting block. Please note there is no public parking on Wednesday until after the air show (approximately 4:00 pm), unless you are a hotel guest.
Hard Rock – Yes, there is a $10 daily rate for all booked under the meeting block.
